Re-inventing the wheel…again.

In Workplace Design, timing is everything.

Mobyle was launched in response to the rapidly evolving need to be able to re-configure open plan spaces with mobile furniture to create a wide variety of working environments to suit changing tasks on a weekly or even daily basis. One day the office can be configured for team co-working and general administration, and the next day the same space can be used for training or brainstorming, and transformed back to what it was just as quickly. We think the timing for mobyle is perfect – the events of ‘covid-year’ have accelerated the need for a new approach to how employers and their employees utilise their space.

Mobile office furniture is nothing new. 20 years ago, a famous Italian office furniture manufacturer created a range of mobile furniture and embarked on a worldwide roll-out campaign with a stunning launch at Orgatec, beautiful brochures that were works of art (as only the Italians can produce), and a website that made your jaw drop. It marketed the range worldwide, but to limited success – it was just before bench desks took off, and the workplace world wasn’t quite ready. I kept the brochures, hoping one day the time would be right.

Twenty years later, and the same manufacturer has just relaunched its range of mobile furniture – and its furniture is still a thing of beauty. A number of the world’s most innovative furniture manufacturers have also started to develop a limited range of mobile furniture items, but it takes time and significant investment to develop new ranges.

Mobyle, working with leading independent and specialist UK fabricators, has designed and manufactures a large number of innovative mobile office furniture solutions, and has established itself as the one-stop-shop for all things mobile in the office.
